Full stop next chapter.

Lets go back to the start of the last paragraph. Although at this point I didn’t know it would become just that.

Our annual trip to Scotland and the Isle of Mull in March. Pretty much a bus mans holiday with my camera in tow but very much still a holiday. After a week of wildlife spotting – otters, white tailed sea eagles, red deer and a pair of hen harriers. Island hopping to Iona for the day – I was happier than a pig in the proverbial. Until the ferry crossing back to the mainland. Picture this: It’s March and there is a chill in the air but the sky is blue and clear of any clouds. The water is still and we can see mountain tops too. Then it hits me. I don’t want to go home. I’m not talking holiday blues. I am on about something deeper. As my eyes welled up and I turned to the Mr and out came the catalyst. “Dude, I don’t want to go home. Can we move?” His answer “Yeah, I s’pose.”

So that’s that. Obviously there is boring stuff in between then and now but ultimately the end result being we are now residents of Perthshire, Scotland! Less than six months doesn’t seem like a long time but when you’re not very good at waiting at the best of times, it feels like an eternity!

We have been here just one week and my jaw aches from smiling. I am well aware that the weather has, so far, been good to us but we are a hardy pair and big believers in just getting outside in all (okay, most) weather. But maybe ask me again in January!

Work wise I am looking forward to meeting and tweeting some great wedding suppliers and venues. Lovely families who want to update their family photo. Newly engaged couples. Businesses needing a new team photo or products photographing. I don’t plan to waffle too much on here about work, this blog is to share our new adventures, new people, new places, new tastes. I want you to get to know Perthshire with me. Please feel free to recommend places to visit, local farm shops/markets, walks etc.

Sometimes it’s good to take a risk, to have that full stop next chapter in our lives.
